Job summary

Point seeks an experienced Associate General Counsel to be the primary legal partner for HEI servicing, from onboarding through defaults, exits, and maturity. You will advise on title, lien perfection, and consumer finance matters, coordinating with subservicers and compliance partners.

This role reports to the Deputy General Counsel and provides day-to-day guidance across Funding, Post-Closing, Servicing, and Investor Operations, including outside counsel management and playbook creation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience practicing law in mortgage or consumer finance with hands-on advisory work.
• Deep knowledge of RESPA, TILA, FDCPA, FCRA, ECOA, UDAP, and state servicing and debt collection rules.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical operating guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal counsel to Servicing, Funding, Post-Closing, and Investor Operations teams.
• Manage outside counsel, budgets, scopes of work, and escalation paths for title, lien, and tax matters.
• Develop playbooks, templates, and self-service guidance for high-volume servicing questions.
• Advise on title, lien perfection, redemption timelines, bankruptcy, and loss mitigation.
