Job summary

Worldscape seeks an experienced AFSIM Modeler/Software Engineer to extend its simulation and analytics capabilities. You will develop mission-level analytics, create simulation models, and integrate components within a modern software environment.

The role blends simulation, software engineering, and aerospace systems, requiring strong fundamentals and practical AFSIM experience. Location: Redmond, WA preferred; remote candidates will be considered for the right fit.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on AFSIM experience or similar simulation modeling
• Strong software development skills in C++ and Python
• Experience building or modifying aerospace/defense simulation models

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain AFSIM models and scenarios representing complex aerospace and defense systems
• Design and implement models for aircraft, weapons, sensors, ISR, and other mission systems
• Develop software, scripts, and tooling to extend AFSIM capabilities and automate workflows
• Build reusable modeling components and infrastructure supporting multiple scenarios
• Translate requirements into robust simulation models and integrate components into larger environments
• Run simulations, debug behavior, and improve model fidelity and performance
• Collaborate with engineers and domain experts to ensure accurate representations
