Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking an Aerospace CAD Expert to contribute to a customer project focused on high-fidelity, multi-part aerospace assemblies. The role is remote, and contractors are welcomed to join the efforts to analyze assemblies and generate precise questions and answers that support AI system development.

The ideal candidate has strong CAD skills, background in aerospace or mechanical engineering, and hands-on experience with complex assemblies and technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Background in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or industrial design with strong CAD knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with multi-part CAD assemblies and technical drawing interpretation.
• Ability to understand complex design intent, component relationships, and assembly structures.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Familiarity with FreeCAD or similar CAD platforms; FreeCAD experience is a plus.
• Experience creating precise technical questions, answers, documentation, or educational content.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to technical accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Create objective, technically precise questions about aerospace assemblies.
• Review native FreeCAD files and analyze complex mechanical assemblies.
• Develop multiple questions per assembly covering key features, functions, and relationships between components.
• Provide accurate, well-researched answers based on assembly data.
• Interpret technical drawings and understand design intent across multi-part assemblies.
• Collaborate through written and occasional verbal communication to clarify requirements.
• Ensure questions and answers follow relevant technical standards and remain program-agnostic.
• Contribute to documentation and feedback processes to improve project workflows.
