Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field
• Strong proficiency with open-source CAD software (e.g., FreeCAD, KiCad, or similar)
• Comfortable using Linux and/or Windows environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Reliable internet connection and access to a computer

Responsibilities

• Design physical objects suitable for 3D printing using open-source CAD software.
• Complete engineering design tasks while your workflow, including tool usage, clicks, and design decisions, is captured to help train AI models on engineering problem solving.
• Write and execute Python validation scripts to support your design workflow.
• Examples: fixed-wing glider maximizing glide distance; propeller blade optimization; rocket fin set minimizing drag while maintaining stability.
• Typical tools: XFoil, OpenFOAM, OpenRocket, JavaProp, FreeCAD
