Job summary

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach remotely in the Accounting & Cyber-Accounting program. The roles include teaching courses such as Accounting Information Systems, CyberAccounting, Cyber Forensics in Accounting, IT Auditing, and CyberAccounting: Risk Management to adult online learners.

Ideal candidates hold a terminal degree and cybersecurity certification; experience teaching online in higher education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree (PhD, JD, DBA) in business or related field from an accredited institution.
• At least one cybersecurity certification from a professional organization such as CISA.
• Experience teaching adult online learners in higher education.
• CPA, CIA, CFE or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage online students with frequent interaction to motivate success.
• Guide students in collaboration and application of learning to projects.
• Provide regular constructive feedback using rubrics for assessment of student work.
• Demonstrate current subject-matter expertise and connect concepts across the program.
• Provide feedback to the program chair on curricular improvements.
