Job summary

Milliman's CMH Health Practice seeks a credentialed Actuarial Manager with strong Medicare experience to advise health systems, physician groups, and ACOs on MSSP performance, TCOC benchmarking, and risk adjustment. This client-facing role also manages junior staff and collaborates across our Provider VBP Enablement vertical.

You will analyze data with Excel, SAS, Python, and SQL, support financial modeling for ACOs, and help drive growth opportunities in Medicare advisory services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (Bachelor's degree required)
• 7+ years actuarial experience focused on Medicare programs (MA/ACO)
• SOA designation (FSA preferred)
• Strong analytical and client interaction skills
• Ability to mentor junior staff
• Proficiency with Excel and actuarial concepts

Responsibilities

• Serve as client-facing actuary on Medicare advisory work (MSSP, TCOC, risk adjustment)
• Advise providers on MSSP performance and risk adjustment strategies
• Lead and mentor professional staff on client engagements
• Manage projects and ensure quality of deliverables
• Perform data analysis using Excel, SAS, Python, SQL and Milliman tools
• Support financial modeling for ACO performance and shared savings projections
• Review work and contribute to research and product development
