Job summary

Ladders is seeking an Actuarial Director - Remote to lead actuarial strategy and risk analysis that support client decisions, forecasting, and analytics-driven execution.

You will work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to shape methodologies, review trends, and deliver clear insights. The role requires strong leadership and the ability to manage timelines in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of actuarial experience with credentials.
• 3+ years in client-facing roles.
• 3+ years building risk models.
• Expert proficiency in MS Excel, including VBA, and either R or Python.
• Strong leadership experience in managing teams.
• BA/BS in actuarial science, math, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of client data and analytics strategies.
• Conduct actuarial studies and financial forecasting.
• Monitor cost and utilization trends for accuracy.
• Determine methodologies for project execution.
• Facilitate client and internal team meetings.
• Develop client deliverables and manage timelines.
• Mentor staff and oversee team leadership responsibilities.
