Job summary

Nationwide is seeking an Actuarial Consultant for its NF Actuarial team. You will enhance valuation models, perform financial reporting, and support reserves across GAAP, statutory, and tax for retirement products.

The role offers rotation opportunities and exposure to leadership on reserve methodologies, LDTI, and reinsurance. You will collaborate across Pricing, Controllership, and Risk Management, using AXIS/MG-ALFA, SQL, and Tableau.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or similar background requiring modeling, programming, or quantitative analysis.
• ASA and enrolled in FSA or progress toward FSA is preferred.
• Typically three to five years of actuarial experience.

Responsibilities

• Compiles, categorizes, and analyzes data.
• Constructs, maintains, and conducts Actuarial, Projection & Valuation Models.
• Performs financial reporting and analysis.
• Leads pricing and implementation of products.
• Analyzes risks for lines of business.
• Establishes reserves and other valuation items under multiple accounting regimes.
