Job summary

Feitong Buke is hiring an Actuarial Consultant for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee (BCBST) based in Chattanooga, TN, but the role is fully remote. The consultant will support risk adjustment and value-based teams, producing reports and assisting with pricing responsibilities.

Qualified candidates should have a BS or BA in actuarial science or a related field and at least 2 years of experience, including completion of 3 or more SOA exams. Key skills include strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in an actuarial or related field.
• Completion of 3+ Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams.

Responsibilities

• Develop models for pricing, forecasting or valuation of Commercial and Government lines.
• Retrieve and/or prepare data for model development.
• Monitor emerging experience and analyze actual vs. expected results.
• Present technical work results to actuarial management.
• Prepare documentation of methods and assumptions used in models and experience monitoring.
• Perform technical peer review for others in the Actuarial Division.
• Provide guidance to new team members.
