Job summary

Hello College is seeking part-time Academic Coaches to support ACT/SAT and humanities and foreign language tutoring entirely remote. Coaches work one-on-one with high school students, using diagnostic assessments and a structured onboarding program.

We seek educators who can guide students in test prep and coursework, foster executive functioning, time management, and personal accountability, and communicate effectively with families and students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent
• Experience helping students succeed on ACT/SAT
• Strong command of high school Humanities
• High school foreign language skills are a plus
• Familiarity with AP/IB coursework
• Ability to build structure and accountability habits
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Experience with high school or college-aged students
• Self-direction and ability to meet deadlines in remote work
• Proficient with Google Docs

Responsibilities

• Coaching students in one-on-one sessions for tests and coursework
• Mentoring students to boost confidence and academic growth
• Meeting with students and families to develop academic skills
• Instilling durable study habits and executive functioning skills
• Communicating with students in a timely manner
