Job summary

Active Theory is seeking an Associate Creative Director to transition from senior contributor to holistic creative leader. You’ll stay hands-on in craft while directing creative direction, client stewardship, and mentorship across teams.

Remote in North America or Latin America with PST hours, you’ll champion the studio vision, collaborate with Creative, Production, Tech and Growth, and help shape high-stakes client work and new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Take creative ownership of client accounts, ensuring consistency across engagements.
• Set and maintain creative direction from concept to execution.
• Be accountable for the overall creative health of the work.
• Hands-on with conceptual and delivery phases of the creative process as needed.
• Understand possibilities and limits within 2D/3D motion design.
• Act as a creative continuity point for assigned accounts.
• Collaborate with Production and Tech to balance ambition, feasibility, and craft.
• Lead pitches on new client opportunities articulating Active Theory’s perspective.
• Shape concepts, narratives, and presentations reflecting Active Theory’s viewpoint.
• Lead by example through craft, communication, and collaboration.
• Foster a design culture and contribute to studio processes and initiatives.
