Job summary

FH Black is seeking an Accounting Technical Consultant to join our REMOTE TEAM. The role focuses on implementing financial tools, building reporting templates, and delivering accurate accounting support per FHB standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in accounting technician roles, strong Excel skills, and experience with Workiva/Wdata and other finance tools. Remote work from the United States is supported with privacy and confidentiality considerations.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of accounting technician experience in public practice, public sector, or corporate finance.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel.
• Ability to solve complex challenges within a defined framework and timeline.
• Proven ability to learn and master technology.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Impeccable attention to detail and high quality standards.
• Solid time management and autonomy; no micro-management.
• Ability to build solid professional relationships and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Create project documents and templates for client projects; review documents and prepare examples (structure, data, formats).
• Develop complex spreadsheets with formulas, linking, and data validation; create and link cashflow worksheets; ensure branding consistency.
• Adjust journal entries and perform reconciliations.
• Execute tasks within client engagements with accuracy and for internal review.
• Demonstrate exemplary data analytics and share knowledge with the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by FHB.
