Gusmer Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, manage GL activities, and deliver GAAP-compliant financial statements from a remote New Jersey-based office.

You will supervise accounting staff, partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Cost Accounting, and ensure strong internal controls while supporting audits and tax filings.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA designation preferred or actively pursuing.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including general ledger and close.
• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with sales and use tax compliance and reconciliations including backup support.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Must be available to support critical month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes with occasional extended hours.

Responsabilidades

• Own and drive monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and meet deadlines.
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Analyze financial results, identify root causes, and provide actionable insights.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting policies.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting including CIP, depreciation, and capitalization.
• Supervise and develop Senior Staff Accountant and AR Specialist; provide coaching.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Cost Accounting for accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with AP and Purchasing for proper coding and tax treatment.
