Job summary

Political Asylum Lawyers, a Houston-based immigration law firm, seeks an Accounting & Finance Manager who will oversee day‑to‑day financial operations, A/R, A/P, payroll, and trust accounting. You’ll provide timely financial reporting, budgeting support, and risk oversight to enable safe, compliant client service.

This hands‑on role requires 5+ years in accounting/finance within professional services, with strong Excel and reporting skills. Opportunity to grow with leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum of 5 years progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience with trust/IOLTA accounting and reconciliations.
• Proficiency with Excel and financial reporting tools; ability to explain numbers clearly.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations with staff and providers.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and forecasting analyses.
• Oversee billing, accounts receivable, and collections processes.
• Maintain trust accounting compliance and internal controls.
• Support budgeting, pricing decisions, and cash flow planning.
