You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) while managing a variety of accounting functions that drive our business forward. This role ensures accurate and timely accounting operations, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and support for internal and external audits.Roles & ResponsibilitiesMonth-End Close : Lead the month-end close process for assigned entities, including review of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments prepared by two staff accounts, as well as preparation of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Ensuring Accuracy and Compliance : Oversee the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, ensuring transactions are properly recorded and reconciled. Ensure accounting activities are compliant with IFRS, including preparing, reviewing, and maintaining financial records.Precision Review : Perform regular and ad-hoc account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. Review account reconciliations of two staff accountants.Process Documentation : Create and maintain process documentation for tasks.Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing financial insights and support to drive business decisions.Special Projects : Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed, contributing your expertise to diverse and dynamic challenges.Championing Innovation : Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.Core RequirementsExpertise : A minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus in general accounting.Educational Foundation : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Regulatory Knowledge : Strong knowledge of accounting principles in IFRS or US GAAP.Language Mastery : Fluent in English, both written and oral.Communication Skills : Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Software Proficiency : Experience in applications such as Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills.
