Job summary

The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) in Georgia seeks an Accountant to provide professional accounting services within the CFO Directorate, Billing and CARS Branch. This role supports accrual accounting operations, FMFIA, CFO Act, GPRA, GMRA, and ECS.

You will perform accounting tasks for FLETC and DHS components, analyze GTAS/TIER/SGL data, reconcile accounts, and assist in preparing financial statements reflecting FLETC's financial condition. Primary requirements include U.S.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or related field with 24 semester hours in accounting (or equivalent).
• 4 years accounting experience or combination meeting 24 accounting hours.
• Specialized experience for GS-7/9/11 with accounting analysis and reconciling data.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional accounting tasks for FLETC and DHS components.
• Analyzes and reconciles SGL accounts and supporting schedules; may certify disbursements.
• Acts as Authorized Certifying Officer for funds disbursement; prepares financial statements.
