Position Overview:
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant with expertise in budgeting, financial planning, and cost analysis to join our remote team. This role is crucial in managing our financial health, optimizing operational efficiency, and supporting data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and analyze annual budgets and forecasts
• Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions for variances
• Generate financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually
• Manage cost of goods sold (COGS), vendor payments, and inventory accounting
• Assist in financial modeling, pricing strategies, and margin analysis
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and tax regulations
• Coordinate with external CPA or tax consultants for filings
• Improve financial processes and controls continuously

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis (experience in distribution or chemicals is a plus)
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and cloud accounting tools
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cost control knowledge
• Ability to work independently remotely
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with inventory systems or ERP platforms
• CPA or CMA certification
• Experience with remote or startup companies
