Job summary

Heffernan Insurance Brokers is seeking an Account Manager to join its Small Business team. The role is remote and reports to the Commercial Lines Manager.

Primary duties include renewing, pricing, and coordinating client insurance needs while expanding coverage with the sales team. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years in account management, an active P&C license, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management or related experience.
• Active P&C insurance license required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Organized, self-starter with good time management.
• Able to explain coverage and negotiate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts and some marketing for assigned clients.
• Coordinate renewal process with clients.
• Prepare account specifications, negotiate pricing, and finalize policy conditions.
• Process and transmit policies in a timely manner.
• Coordinate invoicing, certificates, and evidence of insurance.
• Prepare account proposals for presentation.
• Explain coverage forms to clients.
• Expand existing accounts with additional lines of coverage with sales team.
• Document thoroughly with E&O procedures followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
