Job summary

EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) seeks a Digital Accessibility Specialist to ensure our products meet WCAG, Section 508, and EN 301 549 standards. You’ll identify, test, and remediate accessibility issues across our web platforms, collaborating with Engineering and Design to build accessible products from the ground up.

This role is ideal for someone early in their accessibility career who wants to grow technical skills while making a meaningful impact within a global research-focused

Qualifications

• 0-2 years accessibility experience or related coursework
• Familiarity with WCAG and assistive technologies
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript for accessible web development
• Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Communicate and collaborate with customers
• Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing against WCAG 2.2AA, EN 301 549 and Section 508
• Document accessibility defects clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify remediation approaches
• Support accessibility audits of new and existing features throughout the development lifecycle
• Help maintain and update accessibility documentation, including ACRs, Roadmaps, Statements, etc.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to advocate for accessible design and development practices
• Stay current on evolving accessibility standards, assistive technologies, and industry best practices
