Job summary

Novartis Group of Companies is seeking an Associate Director, Access & Reimbursement (ADAR) to educate defined accounts on access and reimbursement topics, either in person or virtually as needed. The role leads pull-through of access strategies within complex accounts and coordinates with NPC field teams.

The candidate will handle payer policy, claims processing, and integration of patient support programs into account workflows, while complying with HIPAA and company policies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in pharmaceuticals/biotech focused on Patient Services, Market Access, Sales, and/or account management (2 years in a patient services role for a specialty product).
• Experience with highly complex practices/health systems to establish access pathways.
• Strategic account management to anticipate access hurdles.
• Deep expertise integrating manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs.
• Knowledge of reimbursement pathways (specialty, buy-and-bill, retail).
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Must have a fully valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Educate providers and staff on access programs and workflows to integrate products into office processes.
• Answer payer policy questions related to ordering, payment, inventory, returns, and replacement.
• Collaborate with NPC cross-functional teams to support patient access.
• Analyze reimbursement issues and identify local trends to support patient access.
• Inform customers about NPC-sponsored patient support programs (e.g., Co-pay).
• Coordinate with hub and Access & Reimbursement Managers on patient case management.
