Remote Access Product Engineer

The Opportunity

This role is within the Remote Access Product team, part of the ESPM, Network Product team in Enterprise Technology. As a Remote Access Product Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, engineering, documenting, and releasing remote access products and components, ensuring security and functionality across EY environments. You will also provide consulting and escalate complex issues to operations.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will engage in complex problem management, drive client satisfaction through KPIs, and support solution design, certification, documentation, and operational escalation. Your work involves creating industry-best practice designs, testing software versions, planning deployments, and maintaining configuration documentation.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Designs based on industry best practices and engineering principles, tailored to local and global needs.
• Experience in planning, designing, troubleshooting security environments, and managing projects within scope and budget.
• Ability to make technical decisions supporting architecture, strategy, and operations.
• Experience working with external vendors in network industry.
• Strong knowledge of remote access technologies, management, and monitoring tools related to EY security systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects independently.
• Excellent communication skills for complex messaging.
• Experience with infrastructure management and operations.
• Awareness of emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of Windows and Mac networking.
• SIEM reporting and data mining skills.
• Intermediate scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of cloud security technologies, SD-WAN, SAML, Azure AD, firewalls, and networking concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with certifications or equivalent experience.
• Experience in security technology infrastructure and professional security qualifications.
• ITIL Foundation or similar service management certifications.
