Job summary

Arkansas State University-Beebe is seeking an academic advisor to serve as an educational planner and advocate for prospective, new and current students in a part-time remote role reporting to the Director of Advising and Learning. You will provide comprehensive advising on academic plans, major selection, and career objectives, guiding students using NACADA standards via Zoom.

Collaboration with faculty will support professional development programs and student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, social science, business or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic and intrusive advising to students using NACADA standards and best practices via Zoom advising appointments.
• Guide students through identifying strengths and interests, formulating personalized educational plans, selecting classes, and developing strategies for success and a positive student experience.
• Work with faculty members and academic deans to develop and deliver high quality academic advising professional development programs.
• Assist with answering advising emails as needed.

Education
