Job summary

Guidant Financial, a growing remote-friendly company, seeks a Retirement Plan Specialist to learn and administer 401(k) plans. You will review client documents, assist with annual reporting, and help prepare filings such as IRS Form 5500.

This role offers fully remote work nationwide, with a starting wage of $23.55 per hour ($49,000 per year) and a path toward ESOP ownership. Strong communication and detail-oriented skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain necessary information to prepare the annual reporting.
• Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans with only rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software.
• Utilize administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Make outgoing reminder calls and send emails to clients during the plan year reporting process.
• Prepare required 401(k) plan government filings, including the IRS Form 5500, using filing software.
• Educate clients regarding the administration of their 401(k) plan and 401(k) plan documents.
