Job summary

Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist for a fully remote role. You will learn to administer, test, and report on 401(k) plans, reviewing client documents and using software to prepare annual reporting and Form 5500 filings.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing in a back-office setting.
• Familiarity with retirement-plan operations and year-end reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of 401(k)/IRA administration, rollovers, and compliance testing preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business or finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information to prepare annual reporting.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Use filing software to prepare 401(k) government filings (e.g., IRS Form 5500).
• Educate clients on 401(k) plan administration and documents.
