Job summary

Twoconnect seeks a skilled 3D Draftsperson to create accurate SolidWorks models and detailed workshop drawings for sheet-metal fabrication. The role involves reworking client designs and ensuring production-ready drawings with precise dimensions and tolerances.

You will collaborate with estimating and production teams, maintain revision control, and identify improvements to drawings to optimize manufacturing processes while working in a remote-capable environment.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks proficiency for creating 3D models and workshop drawings.
• Ability to interpret client drawings, specs and manufacturing requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in production-ready drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 3D models of parts and components using SolidWorks.
• Prepare detailed workshop and fabrication drawings for production.
• Produce drawings from client designs, specifications, sketches and existing documentation.
• Update client drawings to suit manufacturing needs.
• Ensure drawings have correct dimensions, materials, tolerances, hole locations, cut-outs and folds.
• Review drawings before release to production.
• Maintain drawing revision control and current versions.
• Provide drafting support to estimating and production teams.
• Identify improvements to drawings to enhance manufacturing processes.
