Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Service Desk Technician to provide Tier 1 support for a federal customer. This role is remote, but the employee must reside in Hancock County, MS or adjacent counties, and may travel to customer sites for computer setup.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years experience.
• Basic understanding of computer systems and how to use them.
• ITIL foundation cert, A+ cert, and Helpdesk/SDI certs required or obtainable within six months; costs reimbursed by GovCIO.

Responsibilities

• Responds to incidents and diagnoses issues through discussions with users.
• Provides first-tier support for PC, server or mainframe applications or hardware.
• Documents, tracks, and monitors problems to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborates with network/services teams to restore service and identify root cause.
