Job summary

Fiduciary Real Estate Development (FRED) is seeking a skilled Remodel Technician to support maintenance across Wisconsin and Illinois communities. You will handle remodeling tasks, painting, drywall repairs, and preventative maintenance, with some travel and lodging in IL as required.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in remodeling, painting, and related maintenance, solid tool knowledge, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in remodeling, painting, drywall repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of construction, painting techniques, and proper use of tools/equipment.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and wear safety gear.
• Must commit to 2–3 on-call rotations annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform remodeling tasks including demolition, appliance and cabinet installation, countertops, flooring, fixtures, drywall, and caulking.
• Conduct painting and drywall repairs to maintain a high-quality appearance.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing as part of remodeling.
• Assist in apartment turnover and general remodel efforts.
• Perform preventative maintenance, including HVAC filters, door locks, and window coverings.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and document time logs and checklists.
