Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Chicago, IL is seeking a Reminiscence Supervisor to lead memory care initiatives in the neighborhood, delivering resident-centered care and dementia programming.

You will supervise the reminiscence team, coordinate staffing and timekeeping, and collaborate with leadership on training and family engagement while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in assisted living, long-term care or dementia care.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office & Sunrise systems).
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the reminiscence team in daily care and operations.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling and timekeeping oversight.
• Provide direct resident care and support Life Skills programming.
• Monitor resident condition changes and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Support family meetings, education sessions and monthly support groups.
• Assist with ISPs, daily assignments and point-of-care documentation.
• Promote Resident-Centered Care and dementia-specific best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and quality standards.
• Partner with leadership on training, coaching and performance support.
