Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks a Remediation Department Manager to lead the Remediation Business Line in the Great Lakes region (WI, IL, IN, MI, KY). You will shape vision, strategy, business development and project execution within Environmental Services.

You will manage client relationships, guide senior staff, promote safety and quality, and drive growth across Illinois and nationwide, aligning with the firm’s values of integrity, dedication and outstanding service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, geology, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years related professional experience; 12 years preferred.
  • Previous leadership and/or people management experience preferable.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Remediation Business Line vision, strategy, and growth in the Great Lakes region.
  • Mentor and invest in emerging leaders; enable decision-making and professional growth.
  • Promote safety, quality, and technical excellence in all projects.
  • Develop client service plans and strategic client relationships; pre-sell opportunities.
  • Lead or guide proposal development, risk assessment, and contract negotiations.
  • Achieve sales, revenue, and profitability targets for the Remediation Business Line.
