Job summary

New York Air Brake in Springfield, MO, is seeking a Remanufacturing Technician to perform basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts in a manufacturing environment.

You will identify serviceable parts, operate semi-automatic equipment, and follow safety and quality rules while supporting Production Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, wash, and assemble parts.

• Operate semi-automatic equipment (pedestal buffers, wash machines, ultrasonic washers).
• Handle parts and tools safely and use power/manual tools.

Position Title

Remanufacturing Technician, $19/hr + $1/hr differential

Reports to

Production Supervisor

Essential Functions

• Basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts.
• Identify serviceable vs. non serviceable parts.
• Operation of semi-automatic equipment i.e. pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, ultra-sonic washers.
• Handle parts, tools in a safe manner.
• Proper use of power and manual tools. i.e. impact wrenches, drills, EZ Outs, hand tools.
• Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Required Education And Experience
