Job summary

New York Air Brake, a Knorr-Bremse company, seeks a Remanufacturing Technician for the 2nd shift in Springfield, MO. You will perform basic disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of parts, using buffers, wash machines, and ultrasonic cleaners. This role requires safe handling of tools and adherence to quality and safety standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Functions

• Basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts.
• Operation of semi-automatic equipment i.e. pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, ultra-sonic washers.
• Handle parts, tools in a safe manner.
• Proper use of power and manual tools. i.e. impact wrenches, drills, EZ Outs, hand tools.
• Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
