Job summary

New York Air Brake Corp. is seeking a Remanufacturing Technician in Springfield, Missouri. You will perform basic disassembly, washing, and reassembly of components for heavy-haul braking systems.

Essential Functions

• Basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts.
• Identify serviceable vs. non serviceable parts.
• Operation of semi-automatic equipment i.e. pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, ultra-sonic washers.

• Proper use of power and manual tools. i.e. impact wrenches, drills, EZ Outs, hand tools.
• Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
