Qualifications

• At least one year experience with animals in a veterinary setting.
• Ability to handle dogs and cats, including those with health/behavior issues.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform physical duties.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with shelter software.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with basic medical care, vaccinating, fluids, and microchipping.
• Maintain clean, disinfected workspace and accurate medical records.
• Support volunteers and communicate with adopters.
• Provide basic animal care such as feeding, grooming, and socialization.
• Collaborate with staff to meet lifesaving goals and follow safety policies.
