Qualifications

• Completion of the requirements for a B.S. or Pharm.D. in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Iowa Pharmacist License by examination or reciprocity.
• Mandatory reporting within 6 months of hire and renewed every 5 years.
• Previous practical experience and/or certification in areas related to practice site are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescriptions and non-prescription medications per physician orders.
• Counsel patients regarding medications and ensure HIPAA-compliant communication.
• Maintain inventory and assist in annual counts including controlled substances.
• Participate in on-call and weekend rotations.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws.
