Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon seeks a registered nurse to join the ED team. Under general supervision, you will diagnose and treat patient health problems, assess needs, plan care, coordinate with the health care team, and document care in the EMR.

Relocation assistance is available for this role. Responsibilities include multi-system assessments, developing care plans, implementing physician orders, and evaluating patient responses.

Qualifications

• RN with a minimum of 9 months of experience.
• 1 year of ED experience or completion of Kaiser Permanente New Grad Internship in the ED.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• PALS within 6 months of hire or ENPC within 6 months of hire.
• Oregon RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-system assessments and discharge planning.
• Develop individualized nursing plans of care and coordinate with hospital departments.
• Initiate and document physician plans of care; administer medications per policy.
• Evaluate patient responses to treatment and participate in quality improvement activities.
