Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree with several years of design experience.
• Experience guiding and mentoring lower-level engineers.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required).
• Proficiency with Siemens NX.
• Willingness to travel 10–25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction, with input from relevant subject matter experts.
• Apply engineering techniques and test data to the solution of more complex components, structures, and sub-assemblies.
• Establish requirements for materials, structural components, and functional systems.
• Determine engineering tasks required for project planning and execution.
• Document results of design activities and release results after review from other engineers.
• Make recommendations for improving own work and/or group’s work.
• Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on projects.
• Ensure that the product line adheres to contractual and technical data package requirements.
• Ensure communications with internal and external teams across the program portfolio.
• Lead the engineering effort to accomplish major milestones, such as design reviews and test readiness reviews.
• Support earned value performance tracking of various programs in the portfolio.
