Good Shepherd Services is seeking Relief Youth Development Counselors to supervise and support youth at a Bronx-based program. The role focuses on safety, structured routines, and trauma-informed care within the Sanctuary and Missouri treatment frameworks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid New York State driver’s license.
• Must complete and pass behavior management/physical intervention training.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Commitment to use The Missouri Model and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and be accountable for residents’ whereabouts at all times.
• Manage residents’ behavior; maintain order.
• Implement daily living routines, schedules and procedures.
• Ensure safety of residents and high standard of cleanliness throughout the house.
• Provide individual and group counseling and participate in treatment plans.
