BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department.

Pay: $18 - $42 / hour
This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience, credentials, and advancement through our CareerTrax leveling system.

At BluePearl Pet Hospital, the Veterinary Technician role offers an exciting, fast-paced opportunity to utilize and expand your skills, working alongside talented veterinary professionals.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

1. Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
2. Triage emergency cases, obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
3. Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
4. Understand normal ranges of patient vital signs and alert veterinarians to changes.
5. Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs.
6. Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
7. Calculate medical dosages accurately and administer medications appropriately.
8. Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters.
9. Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
10. Mentor and train co-workers.
11. Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
