You must hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), be licensed in good standing, and comply with DEA requirements. The role includes client communication, medical record-keeping, and collaboration with the veterinary team. Weekend/evening hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree required.
• License in good standing with the applicable state veterinary board.
• License with the Drug Enforcement Agency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative care, diagnosis and treatment for pets.
• Ensure safety and maintain clean, sterile treatment areas and labs.
• Maintain complete medical records and client histories.
• Educate clients about preventative care and hospital services.
• Communicate diagnosis and treatment plans to the team and client.
• Follow state laws and manage controlled substance inventory.
