Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Relief (Locum) Veterinarian to provide preventive care, diagnose and treat diseases in companion animals. The role supports busy clinics with flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, and requires strong clinical skills and compassionate patient care.

The pay range is $130-150 per hour, with selection based on experience, education and location. Candidates must hold a DVM/VMD, license and DEA registration, and be able to perform routine surgeries and

Formación

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.
• License in good standing with the applicable state veterinary board.
• License with the Drug Enforcement Agency required.
• Proven ability to perform all basic surgeries, including use of all standard medical instruments and equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure the safety of Pets, clients and associates by using safe restraining techniques and maintaining clean, sterile treatment areas.
• Obtain relevant information and history from clients, and maintain proper and complete medical records.
• Educate clients about preventative care, health needs, diagnoses and treatments.
• Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service including prescribing and administering preventative care and treating diseases.
• Communicate diagnosis and plan to veterinary team and client.
• Follow laws and maintain controlled substance inventory and state guidelines.
