Job summary

Markstein Sales Company is seeking a Relief Sales Representative to service and sell products within assigned accounts when the primary salesperson is unavailable. This role is based in the Clayton, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek area and requires travel within Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.

You will follow the Markstein Sales Process, handling orders, inventory, and displays while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of beverage or consumer product sales experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) and able to use Apple products (iPhone/iPad).

Responsibilities

• Service and sell a set of assigned accounts in a specific geographic area using the Markstein Sales Process.
• Record inventory and write the correct order, introduce new items, and sell in displays.
• Rotate and stock products and ensure quality control.
• Willingness to travel within Alameda and Contra Costa County for job duties.
• Maintain solid communication with customers and team members.

Salary Range: $50,000.00 To $60,000.00 Annually

JOB SUMMARY:

The Relief Sales Representative is responsible for servicing and selling products into assigned accounts when the Primary Account Sales Representative is off or on vacation. Utilizing the Markstein Sales Processes and delivering great customer service to deliver Volume & Revenue targets is the essential function of the role. This position is used as the primary pool for Sales Route Ownership.

Currently Markstein is looking for a qualified Candidate to work in the Clayton, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek Area.

Job Duties:

• Service and sell a set of assigned accounts in a specific geographic area utilizing the Markstein Sales Process.
• Take proper inventory to write the correct order, introduce new items into distribution, and sell in displays are all functions of the role.
• Rotate, Stock, and ensuring quality control of all Markstein products are met is essential.
• Must be willing to travel within Alameda and Contra Costa County to perform job duties.
• Solid Communication skills are required in this role.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid California Class C Driver’s license.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience. 1-3 years of beverage or consumer product sales experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
• Must know how to use Apple products such I-phones, and I-pads.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision, ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and be attentive to details. Highly self-motivated and able to work hours as required.
