Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy in Indiana seeks a licensed Pharmacist to fill prescriptions accurately, educate and mentor technicians, and lead clinical services including immunizations. You will maintain strong relationships with patients and staff, while ensuring compliance with policies and laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana)
• Retail/Community Practice.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures, understanding of regulatory in the state the unit operates.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Be competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
• Demonstrate effective communication and act as agent of change.
• Exhibit excellent organizational skills and prioritize workload.
• Listen to the patient and resolve patient needs, customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations.
• May perform other duties as assigned or required.
