Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy in Michigan seeks a licensed pharmacist to fill prescriptions accurately and build strong patient relationships. You will mentor technicians, ensure compliance, and contribute to the growth of the pharmacy business.

Responsibilities include immunizations where allowed, patient education, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality in daily operations. A PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy with state licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/Community Practice.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems, policies and procedures, and regulatory understanding in the state the unit operates.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients and team.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians to improve performance.
• Drive growth of the pharmacy business and expand services.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer policies, procedures and laws.
• Communicate effectively and lead change.
• Stay organized with prioritizing workload.
• Listen to patients and address their needs and concerns.
• Oversee operations in the pharmacist's absence.
• Provide immunization services where allowed.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Be Doing

• Fill prescriptions safely accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.

• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Listen to the patient and resolve patient’s needs, customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, will be responsible for the pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services, including immunizations
