Qualifications

• Ensures compliance with Federal and State laws and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interprets, evaluates and dispenses pharmaceuticals to the nursing units and checks for appropriateness of therapy; maintains accurate inventory records.
• Controls pharmacy inventory and ensures all federal and state reporting requirements and facility policies are kept current.
• Provides information to facility physicians and staff on pharmaceutical care and may assist in writing pharmacy policies or procedures.
