Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy in Cincinnati is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our patient-centered team. You will fill prescriptions accurately, educate staff, and maintain strong relationships with patients and teammates while adhering to Meijer policies and state laws.

The role involves supporting clinical services such as immunizations, mentoring technicians, and ensuring smooth operations when the pharmacist in charge is unavailable. A PharmD or BS in Pharmacy and active licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist must hold a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy and be licensed.
• Active registration and license in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist is required (Indiana excluded).
• CPR certification is required.
• Experience in Retail/Community practice is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately while maintaining patient care.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Educate and mentor technicians to support the pharmacy team.
• Oversee pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge.
• Perform clinical services including immunizations where allowed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and have a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures, as well as state and federal laws.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Listen to the patient and resolve patient's needs, customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, will be responsible for the pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services including immunizations.
