An Assistant Manager position is an excellent career opportunity for sports and outdoor enthusiasts. Our team members' qualities serve as a foundation for growth, and our managers provide leadership and direction to the entire store team. The Assistant Manager gains knowledge and experience, essential for promotion to higher management positions, through hands-on duties personally or via subordinates. A well-defined training program will be provided to support your development within our management structure. Candidates should be enthusiastic, energetic, sports-minded individuals with solid customer service backgrounds and/or relevant educational backgrounds suited for the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Perform customer sales and service
• Merchandise and ensure compliance with all company policies
• Answer customer inquiries via telephone
• Set up promotional signage
• Enforce all company policies
• Learn and provide product descriptions
• Propose add-on sales
• Check and retrieve merchandise from storage areas
• Organize, restock, and clean merchandise on the sales floor
• Manage store opening and closing procedures
• Train newly hired associates
• Direct sales and cashier associates throughout the store
• Control inventory and enforce loss prevention policies

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must possess a High School diploma, GED, High School Equivalency, certificated equivalent, or relevant experience
• Must have basic organizational and applicable math skills

• Light to moderate lifting may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation

California Pay Scale: $18.30 - $21.05/hour depending on store location
