The Assistant Manager gains knowledge and experience required for promotion to higher management positions under the guidance of experienced personnel, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. A well-defined training program will be provided to help you develop within our management structure. Candidates should be enthusiastic, energetic, sports-minded individuals with solid customer service backgrounds and/or relevant educational paths suited for the industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Performing customer sales and service
2. Merchandising and ensuring compliance with all company policies
3. Answering customer inquiries via telephone
4. Setting promotional signage
5. Enforcing all company policies
6. Learning and providing product descriptions
7. Proposing add-on sales
8. Checking and retrieving merchandise from storage areas
9. Organizing, restocking, and cleaning merchandise on the sales floor
10. Managing store opening and closing procedures
11. Training newly hired associates
12. Directing sales and cashier associates throughout the store
13. Maintaining inventory control and enforcing loss prevention policies

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must possess a High School diploma, GED, High School Equivalency, certificated equivalent, or relevant experience
• Must have basic organizational and applicable math skills
• Upon accepting an offer, candidate will be subject to E-Verify
• Light to moderate lifting may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Flexible scheduling

California Pay Scale: $18.30 - $21.05/hour depending on store location
