An Assistant Manager position is an excellent career opportunity for sports and outdoor enthusiasts. Our team members' qualities serve as a foundation for future growth, and our managers provide leadership and direction to the entire store team. The Assistant Manager gains knowledge and experience, essential for promotion to higher management positions, under the guidance of experienced personnel, by performing various duties personally or through subordinates. A well-defined training program will be provided to help you develop within our management structure. Candidates should be enthusiastic, energetic, sports-minded individuals with solid customer service backgrounds and/or relevant educational backgrounds suited for the industry.

Responsibilities
  1. Opening and closing the store
  2. Staffing the store with service-oriented associates
  3. Performing customer sales and service
  4. Directing sales and cashier associates
  5. Training newly hired associates
  6. Merchandising and ensuring compliance with all company policies
  7. Handling customer inquiries via telephone
  8. Setting promotional signage and other duties as assigned
  9. Enforcing all company policies
  10. Learning and providing product descriptions
  11. Proposing add-on sales
  12. Checking and retrieving merchandise from storage areas
  13. Organizing, restocking, and cleaning merchandise on the sales floor
  14. Inventory control and loss prevention enforcement
Requirements
  1. Must be 21 years of age or older
  2. Must possess a High School diploma, GED, High School Equivalency, or relevant experience
  3. Basic organizational and math skills
  4. Subject to E-Verify upon accepting the position
  5. Light to moderate lifting may be required, with or without accommodation
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills

$18.73 - $19.21/hour depending on store location
