Job summary

Milkco, Inc. is seeking a Relief Laboratory Technician to join the Quality Control Department. The Lab Technician is responsible for quality & safety testing of all products during and after production, as well as maintaining lab equipment to the highest standards.

They must be able to follow precise laboratory practices and procedures while working independently. This position is full-time & requires working 1 Saturday a month (no more than 5 workdays total each week).

Qualifications

• Must have laboratory experience.
• Background in Biology, Microbiology, or Chemistry.
• Minimum 1+ year professional experience or advanced college coursework.
• Food or beverage quality control experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality and safety testing of products during and after production.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to high standards.

Job description

Milkco is seeking a Relief Laboratory Technician to work in our Quality Control Department. The Lab Technician is responsible for quality & safety testing of all products during and after production, as well as maintaining lab equipment to the highest standards. They must be able to follow precise laboratory practices and procedures while working independently.

This position is full-time & requires working 1 Saturday a month (no more than 5 workdays total each week). When not relieving another technician, the hours will be 6:00am-2:30pm. First shift hours are 4:00am - 12:30pm. Second shift hours are 11:00am - 7:30pm. Third shift hours are 7:30pm - 4:00am.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous laboratory experience
• Biology, Microbiology, or Chemistry background
• Minimum 1+ year professional experience or advanced college level coursework
• Food or beverage quality control experience preferred
