Qualifikationen

• Experienced Veterinary Technician in Emergency and Critical Care.
• Mentoring and training other coworkers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with compassion for patients.

Aufgaben

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive, obtaining vitals (temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure).
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
• Understand normal ranges of vital signs including heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vitals; alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical math (CRIs, dosing) and administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
• Proficient at phlebotomy and placing IV catheters in peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train other coworkers.
• Show patience and empathy to address client concerns.
